We’re excited to unveil our five-year strategic plan today, which focuses on scaling our staffing, security, and food packaging & contract manufacturing business units in order to increase our mission impact over the next five years.
Over the next five years, we will nearly triple our annual earned revenue and our employment of people with disabilities. Through this growth, we will remain financially self-sufficient & relevant to our customers—all the while driven by continuous improvement throughout our organization. We’re not reinventing ourselves; we’re simply building on what we’ve already proven to work: Since our inception, we’ve grown into a $25.7 million company, and trained or employed in excess of 15,000 people with disabilities.
This success is built on using business approaches to solve social problems, a blend that has always been part of the framework of DePaul. Our recent local and international recognition is a testament not only to the attention being paid to this concept—dubbed ‘Social Entrepreneurism’—but also an acknowledgement of DePaul as an established leader in the field. Translation: We’ve always done it this way, and done it well. People are beginning to notice.
