In a grand affair held at The Governor Hotel in Portland, on Wednesday night, June 15, 2011, DePaul Industries won the Oregon Ethics in Business Award; which honors those organizations and individuals who have demonstrated ethical business practice in its broadest interpretation: in the workplace, the marketplace, the environment, and the community.
In a gala affair held in Seattle on Friday night, June 10, 2011 DePaul Industries' CEO, Dave Shaffer joined 26 other area-wide entrepreneurial luminaries on stage as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® 2011 Pacific Northwest Award finalist.
Dave Shaffer, Chief Executive Officer of DePaul Industries, will be a guest speaker at the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) annual conference in Madrid, Spain in June 2011. He will sit on a panel that will discuss “employment flexibility, labor market change and the role of employment intermediaries.”
DePaul Industries, the Northwest’s premier employer of people with disabilities, has been selected as a finalist in the not-for-profit category for the 2011 Oregon Ethics in Business Award. The Award recipient in each category will be announced on June 15, 2011 at this year’s banquet.
DePaul Industries today announced that Dave Shaffer, CEO, is a semi-finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2011 Award in the Pacific Northwest. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and person commitment to their businesses and communities.
DePaul Industries, the Northwest’s largest employer of people with disabilities, was ranked as one of the “Top 100 Companies to Work for in Oregon” in a recent survey of employees conducted by Oregon Business magazine.
DePaul Industries, the largest employer of people with disabilities in the Northwest, was recently ranked as the 8th “Most Admired” nonprofit in Oregon in a Portland Business Journal survey of 1,800 chief executive officers.
During the December 9 luncheon that honored the most admired companies, it was noted that 197 nonprofits throughout the state were nominated for the prestigious award.
DePaul Staffing, a division of DePaul Industries, headquartered in NE Portland, has been ranked the top staffing firm in terms of internal staff size by the Portland Business Journal, moving up three spots from its fourth place position last year. Growth for DePaul has come from aggressive and relentless dedication to its mission of serving the Northwest in placing and employing individuals with disabilities.
DePaul Industries has been named the 2009 Food Processor of the Year by the Northwest Food Processors Education Research Institute. The award will be presented Jan. 19 during the 96th Annual NW Food Manufacturing & Packaging Expo and Conference at the Oregon Convention Center.
